About Us:

We are a mother/daughter team located in the Twin Cities. Over the years we have tried our hand at many different crafts and this shop is an extension of our experience and creativity. It also allows us to explore or Celtic heritage and to remember a dear friend who is no longer with us.

This business was founded by an amazing woman, Bernadette Galaba, who was born and raised in Galway, Ireland. She had been embroidering items for decades before she had purchased her loved industrial embroidery machines. It was because of these that she expanded to selling embroidered items to the public at large. Through this we found her and became fast friends. Years after meeting her she ended up helping design and embroider one of her favorite items, an Irish dance solo dress for us. We also ended up helping Bernadette in her booth around the Cities.

Sadly in 2007 Bernadette passed away. Her wonderful husband John took over for a year. After one of the Galaba’s favorite shows of the year, John suddenly passed away. We, as a team, did not want to see Bernadette’s creativity, sense of color, and ambition die, so we decided to take over where Bernadette and John left off. We hope to do them proud and keep up the fabulous friendly service and unique quality products! The name has changed from Creative Celtic Embroidery to Celtique Creations, but we hope to see many of the same faces return to say “hi” and check out some of the new things we have to offer!
